Very cozy inside and out with a beer garden. Friendly service and very good food.
Super delicious food, sufficient portions, great attentive service, nice ambience and safe implementation of the Corona hygiene requirements. The service and price-performance ratio are definitely right here ?
Delicious food (even if it took a bit long that day), nice staff. I would love to come back when I'm in Aschaffenburg.
Were a group of four. All starters and main dishes 1A. Professional service. Nice location. We were very satisfied. I don't know how the 1 + 2 star ratings come about, has the chef changed ?!
Very nice, cozy restaurant with very nice and attentive staff. Super fine food! Highly Recommended.
We felt completely satisfied! The food was optically and tastefully great: tasty and prepared with attention to detail. The young man who served us was always attentive and very polite, the owner was very careful that the CO2 value in the rooms was corona. We would like to come again.
Very romantic beer garden and very good food. However, it took a long time and the waiters were a bit overwhelmed with the full hut.
Absolutely loved it! Great food, great beer and great service! Will definitely recommend it.
Good traditional German food and traditional atmospher, comfortable. Sat outside but many smokers made presence somewhat difficult.
Fell for a tourist rip-off. If you can think of something else about Schlossgass, you haven't been outside of AB after your visit. Perhaps one should only drink wine here but definitely not eat. Better to go for a drink in the Seppel slippers! When it comes to eating, it's better to ask the locals, because they'll definitely go somewhere else. Miniature dishes at overpriced prices! Bland and old salad without spice. Chanterelles with medallions that you could barely see with a magnifying glass and were roasted dead! No sauce. Conclusion: If you are into old town flair, are not hungry and want to expose yourself to an extremely fake friendliness, you are at no. 16 in exactly the right place!
We attach great importance to compliance with the corona rules. The food was delicious and the service friendly. Worth going to. We sat in the garden next to the house on the left.
Sorry, but it is not good. The salad had "rotten" leaves, schnitzel full of oil. Quality not good. There were four of us and none of the food was good .. We have given feedback and hope that it will get better ???
Service friendly and fast. Food good and sufficient. Price structure still OK
We were here on a Monday afternoon. It tasted good, but it took us ages to sit down and order later. The food was also a long time coming. However, the corona rules would be followed well.
The food was a disaster. The rump steak was chewy and the salad tasted like Magi. But the crowning glory was the Sauerbraten, the sauce was a water broth without taste. Looked like roast pork. When asked whether it was a roast pork or Sauerbraten, the waitress had to go back with the plate to inquire. It should be the Sauerbraten. That was 5 thin slices and hard as leather and not to eat Upon request the cook would like to come to our table and send help to the kitchen. She didn't want to try either and had the excuse that she had 2 days off and the meat could still be from the old stock. Haaalloooo, please dear people, that's not possible. The beer was warm and Coke was warm and stale. Never ever go there again. ?????????? One star goes to the friendly service.
Unfortunately we can not report anything good, food was a disaster, the arguments regarding the quality were creepy. Not at all. I don't want to say more.
The food was an absolute disaster. We haven't eaten that bad in years. The only positive thing was the friendly service, and then the boss came to cash in and pocketed the tip. Absolutely not to be recommended!
Wonderful environment. Good beer. And cozy old style atmosphere.
A small and cosy restaurant. With beautiful decor. Fig and icecream the best. Gemuetlich . Farewell dinner very pleasant for everyone. We could have a conversation . Young waiter very eager to please.
We had a nice meal in the afternoon the portions were ample enough and our service was efficient and friendly. The noise from the kitchen is somewhat loud especially when you are outside in the beer garden. Something I never like are the tables with the reserved labels which remain empty for the duration of the stay and that applies to all the eateries that I visit.
The building, not far from the castle, was first mentioned in documents more than 600 years ago - it is well maintained inside and out and not just for someone like me who loves historic buildings, a highlight. The food and the wine have a really good value for money, the service is competent and reliable. For me a clear recommendation!
Friendliness and hospitality! Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and courteous service; ideal for a pleasant, delicious evening in a historic setting ??
We went to this restaurant by accident, thinking it was a different one. It ended up being okay – a little overpriced for the food, which is why I am giving it a 3/5 rather than a 4/5. The food was decent – it has a traditional, homecooked meal quality to it. We had the scrambled eggs with chanterelle mushrooms, which took a very long time to prepare (I’m not sure why). However, the service was friendly enough – although nobody spoke English and there was no English menu, so we had to guess at which food we’d be eating. Overall, this place was not bad – I would not necessarily recommend or it tell someone not to go. If you like German food, it’s fine. But I also think that there are other options in the area and maybe they would be a bit more fairly priced.
I am sorry to say we had a very negative experience here. We had to wait for a long time despite having ordered simple dishes. Also the staff was extremely unfriendly, in the end not even saying goodbye. Cannot recommend this place, I think there are much nicer alternatives around.
Wonderful food.
Friendly restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the castle. The service was very friendly and fulfilled all of our wishes. The asparagus was excellent and cooked to the point. When the weather was nice you could sit outside. The good prices and the neat overall picture round off the good impression. Highly recommended. Would love to come back.
Nice place to eat after visiting the castle. The food is not bad, the beer is adequate. Good thing you can sit outside. Although the seats on the bench are not as comfortable as sofas or armchairs, it’s a great pleasure to eat in the fresh air.
Very slow service. We waited for 1 hour for our meals. Not very friendly to foreigners.
Glorious food
Great food, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff
